Have you ever seen yourself as the natural successor to Town bosses Sir Bobby Robson, John Lyall, George Burley or Roy Keane? Well, Colchester United are offering the chance for you to make that a reality (sort of) when the Blues’ Legends take on the U’s stars of the past at the Weston Homes Community Stadium on Sunday 17th October (KO 3.30pm).

Both management positions are up for auction, so you could be the man (or woman) wearing the sheepskin car coat. You could be on the pitch for the warm-up, in the dressing room before the game giving your pearls of wisdom to Town legends such as John Wark and in the dug-out shouting at them during the match itself.

After the game, you'll be able to dine with the two squads and enjoy a drink with your heroes — if they’re still talking to you - as you reminisce about years gone by.

The likes of Alex Mathie, Russell Osman, Matt Holland, Simon Milton, John Wark, Fabian Wilnis, James Scowcroft, Kevin Horlock, Gavin Johnson, Geraint Williams and David Johnson are expected to be in the Blues’ line-up, while the former U’s will include Mark Kinsella, Martin Grainger, Tony English, Peter Cawley and Paul Abrahams.
