Town manager Paul Jewell says he has made no contact with either Marlon King’s agent or Coventry City regarding the controversial striker. One of this morning’s papers claimed the Blues were eyeing the Jamaican international frontman.

Jewell said: “I tried to sign Marlon King when I was at Derby, but I haven’t made any enquiries to Coventry or his agent.

“His agent might have made a call to someone but I haven’t had any contact. I don’t want to say it’s nonsense, it’s just not true.”

I personally still think that Norris's contract should have been ripped up in front of him with no pay off (surely gross misconduct is a sack able offence?) following the mobile phone incident.

He should still be in prison for what he has done over the years. I would rather go down than be associated with him and I would have prefered the club to come out and say so.
