Bramble and Reuser are Doubts for Thursday
Bramble and Reuser are Doubts for Thursday

Both Titus Bramble and Martijn Reuser are considered doubtful ahead of the second leg of the UEFA Cup in Moscow.

Martijn pulled up in training yesterday with a thigh injury and Titus has a reoccurrence of the Achilles injury he sustained earlier in the season but both will be hopeful they can make the starting line up.

Should either miss out, Town have a number of options in both positions. Jamie Clapham could come in for either, with Hermann Hreidarsson moving over to centre back with Jamie at left back, or in Martijn’s left midfield role. Mark Venus could also come in at the back after a successful return in the reserves. Gaardsøe is another option, but Burley is unlikely to trust that position to someone who hasn’t played at the back for Town for such an important match.

George may also play his namesake on the left hand side where he hasn’t looked his most comfortable. Fans will be hoping that his performance against 10-man Derby wasn’t a flash in the pan and we will see that kind of display again soon. Maybe Jermaine Wright will be seen more as we hope to recreate the form of last season.

Town may not be favourites to go through to the next round after conceding an away goal, but they won’t be relying on that to get them through. They will be looking to win the game in front of their own fans so hopefully we can take advantage and our travelling band of supporters will have something to cheer on their long trip. Torpedo defender Alexander Lukhvitch was impressed with our home support last week. "The supporters impressed me very much. They even supported good play from some of our players. We were very pleased to play in front of such spectators."

The full squad again: Sereni, Branagan, Marshall, Makin, Wilnis, Hreidarsson, Clapham, Bramble McGreal, Venus, Gaardsøe, Holland, Magilton, Wright, George, Reuser, Stewart, Armstrong, Couñago, T Miller and Bent.
