Naylor Also a Worry
Naylor Also a Worry

Richard Naylor has emerged as another worry ahead of Sunday's game with West Ham. The striker is rated 50/50 after picking up an ankle knock at Southampton.

Goerge Burley has also made it clear that no enquiry has yet come in for Naylor from Wimbledon. Dons manager Terry Burton said yesterday he would be speaking to Town regarding the striker but nothing has happened on that yet.

However, Naylor says he is keen to stay at Town if possible, but has been unhappy at his lack of chances this season and George Burley has also hinted that he wants him to stay: "Richard did well at Southampton and has a good chance of holding his place. He wants regular first-team football and it is up to him to take the opportunity. If he produces the goods he will be in the side. The ball is in Richard's court."

Naylor and Burley have spoken about the striker's situation and if fit he looks a very likely starter on Sunday with Alun Armstrong dropping to the bench.
