Former Loanee Fuller Linked

Town, Wigan and Cardiff are reportedly interested in out-of-contract Stoke striker Ricardo Fuller, who is set to leave the Britannia Stadium this summer. The 32-year-old previously spent time on loan with the Blues towards the end of the 2005/06 season, scoring two goals in three games as well as picking up a red card which brought his spell to an early end.

Then-boss Joe Royle was keen to sign the Jamaican international from Southampton on a permanent basis that summer but the £500,000 fee was beyond the club at the time and Fuller joined Stoke, where he has enjoyed a highly-success six-year spell, helping them into the Premier League in 2007/08.

However, the ex-Preston, Portsmouth and Crystal Palace man has had limited opportunities this season and is now looking to move on having made 135 starts and 70 sub appearances for the Potters and scoring 50 goals.

While the Blues are likely to be in the market for another striker this summer, a move for another veteran frontman such as Fuller would be a surprise with 33-year-old Jason Scotland expected to remain at the club for a further year.

i hope we sign ricardo gardiner because of his premier league experience,i think we would have the championships version of didier drogba. for me the only things our team lacks is pace and a strong presence up front. he would make chopra and scotlands jobs so much easier for them .32 years old...,not a problem,i still cant believe how kevin phillips done our center backs for pace and how old is that geezer!

PJ will be looking at younger players - he told us so in December. He wouldn't be looking at more has beens - surely? We have enough top end ageing earners in our squad.

The guy's average and would be suspended on and off for most of the season. Another member of the Stoke school of thuggery.
