Blues striker Ronan Murray won his second Republic of Ireland U21 cap as his side lost 2-1 to Denmark in a friendly in Dublin this evening.

Murray, who spent much of 2011/12 on loan with League Two champions Swindon, came on as a 77th minute sub.

Former Blues Ian McLoughlin, now with the MK Dons, and Conor Hourihane, who joined Plymouth last summer, were both in the squad.

The Irish youngsters play a Euro 2013 qualifier against Italy in Sligo on Monday 4th June.

Well done Ronan on your second U-21 cap. If you can make first team in this group you will be doing very well.

Some very good young players in that squad, Duffy, Cunningham, Hendrick, Brady, Clifford, O Kane and Rhys Murphy (unattached).
