Monday, 25th Jun 2012 15:29

The Junior Blues are auctioning the chance for a youngster aged 5-15 to be one of next season's mascots leading the Town team out of the Portman Road tunnel ahead of a home match.

The mascot package includes joining in the pre-match warm-up on the pitch, a certificate presented by a member of the squad, a photograph opportunity with the mascot’s favourite player and in the centre circle with the match officials, and the opportunity to visit the home dressing room and meet the players before leading them out through the tunnel prior to kick off.

To enter the auction, email your name (you must be over 18), your contact details, the name and date of birth of the youngster you would want to receive the prize and your bid to juniorblues@itfc.co.uk. Town are accepting bids until Tuesday 31st July.

The winners will be contacted during the week of 1st August. More details and terms and conditions on the club site.

A day out for a rich kid! - I thought we were supposed to be a community club. Surely things like this ought to be done on a raffle basis so everyone can have a chance. Guess we could always boo the spoilt brat.

What a con to auction a mascot place off, it already costs the chance to be a mascot .Oh for the good old days I remember when my son was selected a few years ago it didn't cost to be a mascot and we got 2 complimentary tickets and programmes and a dvd with photos on.
