U18s Hammer Colchester Saturday, 11th Aug 2012 18:36 Town’s U18s beat Colchester United 5-0 in their final pre-season friendly at the Essex club’s new Florence Park training ground in Tiptree this morning. Strikers Tom Winter (pictured) and Cory Galvin both scored twice and left-back David October netted the other in the first game at the League One side's new facility. Winter scored in the first and seventh minutes to put the Blues on their way, October adding the third five minutes before the break. Irish U16 international Galvin added the final two goals in the 73rd and 88th minutes to seal a comprehensive victory for Russell Osman’s boys. The U18s start their league campaign with a game against Swansea City at Playford Road on Saturday 18th August. U18s: Crowe (Marsden 74), Hammond, Fowler, Thorsteinsson, October, Meikle (Willbye 66), Clarke, Timlin, Acott (Berkane 46), Winter, Marriott (Galvin 54).
