Wright Set for Premier League Champions
Wright Set for Premier League Champions
Thursday, 30th Aug 2012 14:11

Former Blue Richard Wright is close to joining Premier League champions Manchester City on a one-year deal as their third-choice keeper. The 34-year-old is understood to be undergoing a medical at Eastlands.

Wright, who was released by the Blues at the end of last season, left Preston just days after joining the League One side earlier in the summer having been unable to settle in the North-West.

Well good luck Wright!

Thinking about it, Mancini has been shrewd doing this because you need so many home grown players in a champions league squad so he doesn't have to drop his foreign players and just have an english 3rd choice keeper so it makes sense

Maybe Wright has had some successful counselling to overcome his phobia with living on the west side... He was once at Everton and he may have been left mentally scarred from that previous experience.
And this extra income he will get from Man City has put those issues to rest.

Football is a mad mad world, so long as the fans and Sky keep handing over their money, clubs, agents, players (all those involved) don't give a toss.

Wrightys geagraphy is obviously as poor as his goalkeeping, remember he left Preston a mere 50 km up the road cause he was homesick earlier in the Summer how long before he is blubbing to Mancini, shame on him
