Town Unchanged at Charlton
Wednesday, 26th Dec 2012 12:11

Town boss Mick McCarthy has named an unchanged side for today’s game at Charlton. Striker Daryl Murphy had been a doubt with a knee problem suffered in the second half of the 1-1 draw with Bristol City at the weekend.

Jason Scotland returns to the subs bench having been left out of the 18 since the Burnley match at the start of November.

Former Blue Danny Haynes and ex-loan striker Ricardo Fuller both start for the home side, who make four changes, but one-time Town trialist Lawrie Wilson misses out as he is suspended. Full match preview here.

Charlton: Hamer, Solly, Cort, Morrison (c), Seaborne, Green, Frimpong, Stephens, Haynes, Fuller, Hulse. Subs: Sullivan, Jackson, Pritchard, Kermorgant, Evina, Harriott, Dervite.

Town: Henderson, Orr, Chambers, Smith, Cresswell, Edwards (c), N'Daw, Drury, Martin, Campbell, Murphy. Subs: Loach, Higginbotham, Emmanuel-Thomas, Chopra, Scotland, Hyam, Reo-Coker.

Personally I would have made 1 change from Saturday. Hyam in for Drury. Good to see Murphy is fit. His understanding with DJ is working really well. And welcome back Scotland! Didn't think moshni would make the squad....come on town!

Can't afford to have midfield quartet not turn up again! Need more energy and skill or they'll be chasing shadows and not giving forwards enough chances!!
