Wordsworth Thanks Well-Wishers Tuesday, 19th Feb 2013 11:29 Midfielder Anthony Wordsworth has sent his thanks to well-wishers after he suffered three cracked vertebrae which could keep him out of action for the rest of the season. The 24-year-old clashed with Blackpool keeper Matt Gilks during the first half of Saturday’s 1-0 victory over the Tangerines, his full debut for the Blues. Wordsworth, who was released from hospital yesterday, tweeted: “Thanks for your best wishes, I'm in safe hands with ITFC. I will be doing all I can to come back fitter and stronger.” Meanwhile, the midfielder’s former side Colchester’s U21s will be at Portman Road on Monday to take on the Blues’ second string in a rearranged game (KO 7pm).
