Sixto Peralta has said he believes Town can win the UEFA Cup tie at the San Siro on Thursday. The man with a foot in both camps says if he didn't believe that he wouldn't have bothered flying to Italy.

Peralta said: "If I didn't think we could win I would have stayed in England."

The Argentinian and Matteo Sereni were largely the centre of attention as Town flew out to Italy yesterday. The Blues train at the San Siro tonight.

Peralta says he has never been in the away dressing room at the San Siro and that it will be strange for him. Virtually everyone else has not played at the stadium shared by Inter and AC Milan.

Interest in in the game in Italy remains low with a crowd of around 20,000 plus the 8,000 or so Town supporters likely. Home tickets have been halved in price with some now costing as little as £6.75.

Martijn Reuser is one of a few players left behind. The Dutchman remains at home to undergo treatment on his back.

Mark Venus says he is looking forward to marking Christian Vieri on Thursday: "In your mid-30s you become more hungry for these type of games because you know they may not come up again. It's the same as with Teddy Sheringham, Gary McAllister and Les Ferdinand. This is it for me. It's always nice to say that you've played against the top strikers in the world. I played against Michael Owen last year. I've played against Ryan Giggs, whom I also like as a player, and Vieri is definitely up there with them. It would just be nice when I pack it all in to be able to say that I took my chance against them all. Vieri is a big, powerful forward who's got a great scoring record for a big man, is very brave and would probably be suited to English football. He's a player I've always liked, and I've followed his career. Now he's playing at the height of his form, but there's no trepidation for me at all. Let's just see how good he really is. He can talk to me while I'm getting my breath back!"

George Burley has backed Titus Bramble after another of his errors led to Arsenal's first goal at the weekend: "We all think the world of Titus, he's a great player. But unfortunately at the moment, mistakes are costing us valuable points in the Premiership. We'll keep on encouraging him, though, as you need to encourage young players to play football. Titus knows that sometimes he should be knocking it into the stand or putting his foot through the ball. That comes with experience. The only mistake he made against Arsenal led to the goal. Others made mistakes but got away with them. I've every faith that he can handle the game against Inter. The only thing he lacks is concentration for 90 minutes but that again comes with experience."

Bramble doeasn't argue with his boss's assessment: "I agree with him totally. I've made a few mistakes and it's cost us some goals. It's just down to my concentration, I need to concentrate fully for 90 minutes. If you just have one lapse in the Premiership, then you're punished for it, whereas you might have got away with it in the First Division."
