A very young Town U21 side, including a trialist, lost 3-0 to Barnet at Underhill on Friday evening. Skipper Byron Lawrence and Cormac Burke were the only players involved with any first team experience with the whole squad aside from Burke made up of scholars and schoolboys.

In the side was 18-year-old central defender Zachary Fagan, who has been with the Arsenal academy since he was 10 years old.

Barnet included Thomas Gardiner, the Tottenham defender who played for the Blues U21s on Monday, and ex-Bury Town and Colchester man Ben Coker.

U21s: Crowe, Burke, Sowunmi, Fagan, Robinson, Berkane, Clarke (Bishop, 46), Lawrence, Timlin (Leddy 55), Galvin, Marriott. Unused: Willbye, Ramadan, Thompson.
