Town manager George Burley is thought to be one of the names on a four-man shortlist at Glasgow Rangers. Current manager Dick Advocaat is set to make a move upstairs and the new man could be named as soon as next week.

The other names on the list reportedly include Alex McLeish from Hibernian and former Germany manager Berti Vogts. The identity of the fourth man is not known.

Rangers chairman David Murray has said that an announcement could be made before the club's AGM on 18th December.

George Burley has stated in the past that he is happy living in East Anglia. A move to Scotland would be unlikely, however big the job. The Town manager signed a new five-year contract at Portman Road back in May.
