Ex-Blues loanee Guirane N’Daw will face a trial at Ipswich Crown Court on August 19th having pleaded not guilty to assault causing actual bodily harm to his wife Bigue Ndiaye N’Daw in an alleged incident in March at a hearing earlier today.

N’Daw’s season-long loan spell with the Blues officially came to an end on June 30th with the Senegalese international currently looking for a new club in France, his contract with parent side St Etienne also having been up.

Speaking at the start of pre-season training, Town boss Mick McCarthy didn’t rule out the 29-year-old returning to Portman Road this summer: “I spoke to his agent and we’ll just wait and see.”
