Calling Blues in the South West Wednesday, 10th Jul 2013 10:44
University of Bath-based Blues supporter James Farthing is gauging interest in setting up a South West of England branch of the Supporters Club. While there are branches all over the UK and world, there currently isn’t one in that part of the country.
James asks anyone interested to send an email to email@example.com with the subject line SW ITFC Your Name, for example SW ITFC James Farthing, making sure it contains the following information:
Email address you would like to be contacted on
Location. Nearest town or city is fine, just to identify the main locations in the South West where people live
And any other information that you may feel appropriate
I live in brixham which is in south devon I no a couple ITFC fans here an we normally drive or get the train do if you are organising oa supporters club close to us that is such great news thank you I have sent the email my name was simon I am a member to look forward to hearing from you.
Cheers, whoseroundisitanyway. I know a dozen or so Ipswich fans who are not TWTD posters, and there were a good few supporters who chipped in when this was started as a thread yesterday. Fair play to James for getting this started.
TWTD has been both a lifeline and a godsend for most ITFC supporters living away from the county. We have been able both to keep in touch with news and have really good discussions with fellow supporters, and it would be wonderful if we could get a supporters club off the ground.
London branch chair is David Gale, email is firstname.lastname@example.org.
There's no website or facebook page so far as I am aware, but if you send David an email you'll get added to membership and get emails with branch updates. Branch holds several socials a yeaer, including at least one with first team players & Milts. Back end of last season, we also had a pub meet-and-greet with Ian Milne, new joint-MD. There's also a highly successful darts team, and many of us meet up around away games, especially in the London area.
Yeah, had a great response! 65 people so far have sent me an email saying they are interested which is great. I'm currently composing an email myself to send round to everyone interested with a few details and ideas!
