Crowe in Wales U19 Squad
Monday, 4th Nov 2013 11:31

Academy keeper Michael Crowe has been named in the Wales squad for their UEFA U19 qualifying mini-tournament in Georgia later this month.

The Welsh youngsters, who are coached by former Blue Geraint Williams, face the Georgians on Wednesday 13th November, Holland two days later and Moldova on the following Monday, with all the matches in Tbilisi.

London-born Crowe, whose father is English and mother Norwegian, joined the Blues in the summer of 2012 from Kristiansand-based side IK Start, having been brought up in Norway. He qualifies for Wales through his grandmother.

Last month, he was named in the squad for a Wales U19 training camp in Spain but was withdrawn to cover for Town first choice Dean Gerken after the ex-Bristol City man suffered a dead leg in the home defeat to Burnley.

Second-year academy scholar Crowe signed a two-year professional contract earlier in the season. His only competitive involvement with the Town senior squad so far was a place on the bench at QPR.
