No New Injuries Ahead of Blackburn
Thursday, 3rd Apr 2014 15:04

Boss Mick McCarthy says he has no new injuries ahead of Saturday’s visit to Blackburn Rovers.

“Everybody’s OK, they’re all fine,” confirmed the Town manager.

Midfielder Paul Anderson was replaced just before the break during Saturday’s 1-1 draw with Nottingham Forest but McCarthy says that wasn’t due to an injury.

“I just changed it, it was just tactical to get another striker on,” he added. “I’ve just seen him in the physio room and he’s got a sore back but he’s OK, he’s trained, he’s fine.”

I predict a 1-1 draw. So for sounding so boring.

Hopefully MM will play Wordsworth in the middle with Williams in front of him.

3 points a must I think our most difficult game that we have left is at home to Bournemouth but I'm confident we will win this one.COYB

What about Burnley away ?

The difficulty of burnley away is completely reliant on their position. They hopefully will be 6 or more behind Leicester and more than 6 ahead of 3rd so have nothing left to play for. At least I think it's second last game so that would be correct.

Taylor, Williams and Murphy up front if you have to play 4-3-3 Mick
Wordsworth, Hyam and Skuse behind them.
Blackburn have a leaky defence - but a potent attack. Defend and we will lose. Attack and we may win.

@ ITFC Realist - I like your thinking but I think McCarthy will not even have Taylor
on the bench - he will opt to have him on the sofa at home.

Realist you have missed the last two home games obviously? Nouble has come on and made an impact in a 4-3-3 & probably played his best in a town shirt so far. Agree with BlueTone Taylor's got no chance of even travelling. Why would he go from out of the squad to immediately playing? You would be better off putting a tender at the bookies that he goes in the summer..
