Town Offer Half-Price Coaches to Burnley
Tuesday, 22nd Apr 2014 14:48

Town have reduced the price of coach travel to Saturday’s away game at Burnley by 50 per cent.

Tickets on the official coaches to Saturday’s live Sky game at Turf Moor, which kicks off at 12.15pm, would have cost £39 for adults, £33 for senior citizens, students and under-20s, and £25 for juniors, but the fares have been reduced to £19.50, £16.50 and £12.50 respectively for the first five coaches booked.

Fans who have already booked their coach tickets will be reimbursed for half their fee with those who paid in cash required to claim their refund at Planet Blue.

Joint-MD Ian Milne told the club site: “Obviously it’s a big match for the club and we’d like to see as many Town fans at the game as possible and getting behind the players.

“We appreciate though that it’s a long journey and an expensive journey, so we will be subsidising the first five official club coaches by 50 per cent.”

The coaches leave Portman Road at 5am and will return around 8pm. Coach tickets can be booked via ITFC Direct and at Planet Blue.

Nice touch, although other clubs have been known to lay on free coach travel. That would of been more adequate considering it's on sky, kicks off early and is at the other end of the country.

But yeah, better than the club doing nothing I suppose!

Nice to see the club help us out for a change. I, for one, wasn't planning on going but I am now.

Token offer for sure - but wouldn't it be nice to be convinced our Manager was going there to try and actually WIN the game. Would make the long journey much more appealing.

Not so sure MM will have anything other than a draw at best in his thoughts - after stating how happy he was with the 'home' draw against Bournemouth.

I'm sure there'll be knockers but I for one am happy with this offer. Wasn't going as didn't fancy the long drive after driving all over this week & splashing out on other away trips this month. Club now has 3 extra supporting the boys & I have a very happy son & Dad.

Well done ITFC

Hang on....5am? I live 20 mins from Turf Moor, this journey should be no more than 5 hours from Ipswich.

brazil1982 1 hour stop for breakfast and an early kickoff so seems about right. Coaches don't travel at 70+ mph
