Pablo and Shefki Reunited
Saturday, 10th May 2014 18:13

Former Town strikers Shefki Kuqi and Pablo Couñago are set to be reunited at Finnish club FC Honka, where Kuqi is the manager.

The 34-year-old Spaniard will reportedly join up with Honka this week, having previously been with Spanish third-tier side CD Choco.

Kuqi, 37, took over as boss at Honka, who play in the Finnish top flight and are in the first qualifying round of the Europa League, in February.

Meanwhile, on-loan Blues winger Jack Doherty was in the Waterford United side which lost 1-0 at home to Town's pre-season opponents Shelbourne in the Airtricity League First Division last night.

Well, now I know what my favourite Finnish team is! I'll just have to forgive them for playing in yellow and black. At least it's not yellow and green.

Blimey! Can't see Pablo enjoying the temperature much! A cold winters night over here and it was time to take the loveable Spaniard off the team sheet!

Finnish Football Season (from Wiki !) so Pablo will be fine :) All Finnish domestic football competitions take place in the spring, summer and autumn, due to weather conditions. Similar systems are used in the other Nordic countries as well.

2 of my all time favourite players. Pablo with his flair and Shefki with the biggest heart and lungs I've ever seen.

The way Darren Bent's career has been going, it wouldn't come as a massive surprise to hear that he's the next one to join up.

Will Shefki be a future manager at portman road? Love the big guy, couldn't believe it when he left us for Blackburn, but I forgive him because he was never as good as when he was at town.

...and here's Pablo! I can see him being useful to Honka playing 1-2's like he used to behind real runners. There are those in Shefki's team already. The biggest Finnish sports magazine predicted Honka to finish second from bottom after big losses in their squad. They are 4th now after eight rounds. Every paper likes to write about Shefki and how vocal he is. http://www.iltasanomat.fi/veikkausliiga/art-1288688864552.html?pos=ok-trm-urhl-e
