Murphy and Ireland Face Italy
Saturday, 31st May 2014 11:25

Town striker Daryl Murphy will be hoping to win his 12th cap when the Republic of Ireland face England’s World Cup opponents Italy in a friendly at Craven Cottage this evening (7.15pm, Premier Sports, Sky channel 428).

Murphy, 31, came on as a 66th minute sub in Sunday’s 2-1 defeat to Turkey in Dublin. Recent Town loanee Paul Green is expected start against the Italians, while ex-Blue Damien Delaney is also in the squad but former skipper Jon Walters is unavailable.

Following the Italy game Ireland face Costa Rica in Philadelphia on June 6th and Portugal in New Jersey on June 10th.
