U18s Beat Leeds

Town’s U18s got their season off to a winning start by beating Leeds United 2-0 at Playford Road this afternoon.

First-year scholar Kundai Benyu (pictured) netted in the first minute and Irish U17 international striker Shane McLoughin in the 70th. Meanwhile, the Blues’ U16s beat the same opposition 3-1.

U18s: Marsden, Jones (Ingram), Walton Owen, Emmanuel, Fowler, Kenlock, Ford (Smith), Blanchfield, Ramadan (Ellis), Benyu, McLoughlin.

Good work! The plan is to develop more young players into first-teamers, and this is a good start.
