Premier League Scouts Out in Force to Watch Mings
Sunday, 19th Oct 2014 09:55

Premier League scouts were once again at Portman Road en masse yesterday to watch left-back Tyrone Mings in action.

Their presence was noted by a number of this morning’s papers with Arsenal’s chief scout Steve Rowley and ex-Blue Peter Morris, who scouts for Newcastle, amongst those there running the rule over the 21-year-old, who was the subject of a rebuffed £3 million offer from Crystal Palace in the summer.

Former Blues skipper Ian Atkins was also reportedly at the game representing Everton, along with Sunderland’s head of scouting Steve Houston.

Their attendance and interest in Mings, who won September's Championship Player of the Month award, will have come as no surprise to manager Mick McCarthy, who said on Friday: “They’re all watching him, he’s doing great.”

As others have said and of which I feel is sound advice..See what happens this season first Tyrone, as Ipswich could be in the Premiership next season anyway !!!..He is getting regular football in his first season as a regular and should stay here for a year or so to establish himself and progress further. IF..........IF....... he does leave...... I feel Everton would be the best club to go to because of their excellent record of looking after young players. Potentially he could be sold for £7.5 million +............and a lot more in a season or two.
