Free Beer at Brentford!
Free Beer at Brentford!
Wednesday, 24th Dec 2014 13:50

The beers are on Brentford website Beesotted following Town’s Boxing Day clash with the Bees at Griffin Park. Beesotted have invited Blues fans making the trip to join them for a free pint of London Pride to celebrate a 2014 which has seen the Bees promoted from League One and climb to third in the Championship.

Announcing their generous offer, Beesotted said: “To help celebrate the end of an amazing year at Brentford FC, please join Beesotted in toasting [manager] Mark Warburton, [owner] Matthew Benham and all their team — and all the players — the men who have helped make 2014 such a magnificent year for the club and its supporters.

“We have arranged for a truckload of London Pride to be dropped off at The Globe, The Lord Nelson, The Griffin, The Princess Royal and The Beehive.

“So, the London Pride will be on us when you buy something at the bar (another beer, soft drink, bar snacks or food) after the match.”

Beesotted’s Billy Grant told TWTD: “Let Ipswich fans know if they hang about there’s free beer available!

“A pint of London Pride to everyone (while stocks last, of course) whether Brentford win, lose or draw, just ask for 'Beesotted’ at the bar.”

For full details visit Beesotted here, while they can be followed on Twitter here.

Meanwhile Beesotted have also compiled a guide to Brentford pubs on Boxing Day, which you can find here.

TWTD’s Blair Ferguson has taken part in a Beesotted question and answer session here and pre-match podcast here.

What a classy gesture!

Maybe we can give them Green King IPA when they next visit!

I really admire Brentford. Football has to respect a club like that and I hope they continue to make progress, playing football the right way, but just not on Boxing Day. Great gesture on the London Pride... and yes! why couldn't we do something similar to celebrate a great season?
The sad thing is these days that it's probably better for our club NOT to go up to the awful Premier League... where wages would skyrocket and we'd probably buy, buy, buy...just to survive... I know I'll probably get marked down for saying so... but it's just £££ there now.
A very Merry Xmas to all of you, and a BIG ty to TWTD.

Billy Grant is someone very special. He could not have been more helpful when dealing with my questions to fill in gaps when compiling the notes. Brentford are a real community club, and have an outstanding supporter at the heart of that community.

Excellent gesture; regardless of result! Hail the Beesotted people.

Here's to hoping both teams can go up, and then Brentford doubling Chelsea.

If Brentford and Town were both promoted I, for on ,would be 'over the moon' as I live no more than 2 miles from Griffin Park and have always had a soft spot for The Bees. But if it was just one of the 2 sides it would have to be Ipswich for me.COYB
