Blackburn Trip Live on Sky
Wednesday, 29th Apr 2015 11:07

Town’s final day of the season game at Blackburn Rovers has been confirmed as one of Saturday’s live Sky matches (Sky Sports 2 from midday, KO 12.15pm).

The currently fifth-placed Blues need just a point to confirm a place in the Championship play-offs for the first time in a decade but could lose and still make it as long as two of the results of the games involving Derby, Brentford and Wolves go in their favour.

Either Norwich, currently fourth, or Middlesbrough, who are third at present, await in the semi-finals.

The first legs will be played on Friday 8th and Saturday 9th May with the second games on Friday 15th and Saturday 16th May. Town, who can't finish higher than fifth, would be at home in the first leg whoever they play.

The sixth-placed Rams' final match at home to Reading is also being shown live by the satellite broadcaster with all the last day fixtures played simultaneously.

Town have sold almost 2,000 seats for the trip to Ewood Park with tickets available on the day.

@Lightningboy:
I just can't believe that we have had that many games (with at least 1 more to come) on TV in the same season.

Do they constantly cut away to show what's happening at the other games?

I'll probably be playing the role of Billy no mates here in smithers BC. I do know a wolves fan, and a few others that like to watch 'EPL Soccer' but they're no good. If there are any town fans out here I'll be watching it in my living room at 4.15am. I have tea, coffee and optimism.

Dunno about Sky Go in France - but sadly you certainly cannot get it where i'll be where there is no phone signal at all and no WiFi :(

I'll HAVE to do better for the play off semis and pray I can get a ticket for Wembley !

I know it may upset some local fans with all the TV games robbing PR of a few hundred on the gate and i really DO GET that point. But living as far away from PR as i do it is great for me as I'd not be at PR either way most games .... so thank you Sky. Now to get some wins in front of the cameras !!

@Warktheline TBH I am not sure. He thought he was onto a good thing at Hibs and moved to Edinburgh. Should never have left I(C)TFC!

God I wish it wasn't! - haven't performed well in front of the cameras for some time, so another fairly dull gamed due. As long as we're in the play-offs!

Sky were a disgrace the last time we featured away to Wolves. The presentation and commentary were all about the home team and we were treated like mid table also rans with nothing to play for. Haven't seen such biased coverage for a long time. I think we feature pretty low on their favoured team list, the only positive thrown in our direction that day was 'hard working'. Andy Hinchcliffe could barely bring himself to say anything good about us at all, let's hope he gets sent to Ewood Park. It will be very sweet if the tedious, unattractive journeymen make progress toward the promised land.

Shame nowhere is showing Brentford vs Wigan. If Brentford don't win, what happens elsewhere is pretty much irrelevant.
