Town defender Tommy Smith is launching the Tommy Smith Soccer School later this month, providing boys and girls aged 7-11 of all abilities and experience professional coaching.

TSSS’s first three-day camp takes place at Kesgrave High School from May 26th to 28th (10am to 3pm).

In addition to Smith’s involvement, one-time Blues academy defender Chris Hogg, who went on to captain Hibs in the SPL, is amongst the coaches.

TSSS’s new website outlines their approach: “At TSSS we aim to provide professional coaching at grassroots level. Our aim is to improve your game, give you an insight into how to make it to the very top and most importantly, enjoy playing the beautiful game.

“We look to create a fun environment and cater for all abilities, with the aim to send each and every player home with improvements as an individual, some inspiration and a huge smile.

“For the youngsters looking to take football slightly more serious, this is where we are very unique. With a fantastic set of contacts and partners we are always looking to pass on our expertise and knowledge.

“Whether it’s inviting a professional player down to one of our camps or a question and answer session with Tommy, we are always looking to inspire our kids at TSSS.

“At TSSS we aim to inspire. So whether you’re looking to learn the very basics, improve your game or pursue a career within football we are suited to you. With great coaches, fantastic facilities and equipment, TSSS will always provide a professional service.”
