TWTD Questionnaire 2014/15 Results Now Online
Monday, 22nd Jun 2015 11:27

TWTD’s seventies-style supercomputer, the Osborne 1.0, has been fired up once again and the results of the TWTD Questionnaire 2014/15 are now available. This year 2,442 supporters took part, making it by far the biggest annual poll of Town fans.

To read this year’s results and to look back at the TWTD Questionnaire from the previous seven seasons, click here.

Many thanks to all those who took the time to answer all or even some of the questions. As ever, we'll pass the results on to the club.

Interesting reading even if some of the results were as predictable "as a North Korean Election" (Love it!!).

Many thanks for all the work you have put into this and into the TWTD website last year.

Agree interesting reading. For me one big omission was a question on how supporters rate Town's entertainment value?

Other comments: Re Q1 do we really expect many under-10s to answer the questionnaire? Surprised Terry Butcher so low under all-time favourites (Q5) - perhaps defenders less popular? Also surprised the degree of satisfaction with M Evans' ownership - difficult to know MM's view at the time but could be argued that lack of investment in the playing squad at Christmas cost us the chance of a place in the Premier League. And up to MM's appointment the running of the club (in particular managerial appointments and transfers) had not been great ...

Was joking re the under-10s! Good thinking re an entertainment value question. May well add something along those lines next year.

Re post-Christmas investment and ME, I would guess he would argue that the scope to invest is limited by FFP and that some money was spent on the likes of Sears and the loans of people like Wood, who wouldn't have come cheap, Williams, Varney and Chaplow.

While we are on the subject of additional questions for the next questionnaire. How about fans views on the ground itself? Things like facilities, cleanliness, friendliness and helpfulness of staff and stewards, state of the pitch, etc.

I am able bodied but what about those less so or with any special needs, are they happy with the way things are?

Good to see people think the match day ticket pricing was expensive, same as last year. Bad to see the match day ticket pricing was expensive, same as last year.

Amazed that Huddersfield away was not voted worst performance. Sheff Wed away wasn't much better, apart from Johnny's cameo.

This site is obviously a popular site.. Don't know in's and outs of how it is run, and unsure how close our club thinks it should be to it, reference latest news... As a negative sometimes find subject for comment up for too long..

Our club is so benign , no signings , no nothing. Look at our direct competitors all doing their business before pre season training starts , they integrate their new signings at the correct time ,what will we do ,bore out a few pre season games , then add a few ageing loanees , pump , hump the ball forward and collect bits and bobs ,knock downs etc. Come on ipswich for christ sake show some urgency in signing players prior to July so they get pre seasons with us.
