Burley on First Goal
Burley on First Goal

Town boss George Burley says that Andy Marshall was unlucky on Leeds' first goal and that it was probably the keeper's first mistake since coming into the Town side in the FA Cup tie at Dagenham and Redbridge in January.

The Town boss backed his keeper: "The first goal did take a wicked bounce and it came up higher than it should have done although it wasn't a strong shot. It was probably Andy's first mistake since he came in to the team though and he has been tremendous for us in that time."

Leeds manager David O'Leary also had sympathy for the former Norwich player: "The lad was unlucky with the first goal. It was a real fluke and took a wicked bounce but he made some good saves for them in the match."

Marshall himself has said he ought to have done better with Fowler's effort.
