BFJ kept this club alive, appointing him manager was the best bit of business that Sheepshanks ever did. He would build a team on a shoestring budget, take it so close to promotion playing highly entertaining football only to see it sold at the end of the season, and then repeat the process year after year. Had he have taken us to the Premiership I honestly believe that he would have deserved his own statue outside the ground.
