Magilton Called Up

Jim Magilton has been called up to the Northern Ireland squad for their international against Liechtenstein in Vaduz on March 27th. If he plays he will win his 52nd cap for his country.

Magilton recently offered to retire from international football to give their youngsters a chance to come through. Manager Sammy McIlroy turned his offer down and feels he still has a part to play: "Jim has been a great servant to his country and still has a lot to offer at international level. I have to start bringing the young players through but we need experienced players like Jim to work alongside the kids and help their development in the side."

Northern Ireland also face Spain in Belfast in April.
