Andy Marshall has urged George Burley to stick with him at Blackburn on Wednesday. The ex-Norwich keeper made a glaring error for Leeds' first goal last week, but he says he is still worthy of his place in the side.

The former England U21 international said: "It's the only mistake I've made since coming into the side. I made a mistake and have held my hands up. I am fine about it now. I will be very disappointed if the manager does not keep faith with me.

All I can do is impress in training and at the end of the day it is up to the boss. I am never happy with my performances and always look for improvement."

Italian keeper Matteo Sereni, however will hope that George Burley decides that it is time for his recall. The former Sampdoria man was ever-present up to the Dagenham and Redbridge match in January when Marshall took over. Sereni has been out of the side since then.

At the weekend Town keeper coach Malcolm Webster backed Marshall to get over his Leeds error.
