Town have begun talks with Inter Milan ragarding the future of Argentine loanee Sixto Peralta. The midfielder is keen to stay at Portman Road where hw has become hugely popular in a short time.

Previously a fee of £2.5 million has been suggested for Mumo, although £3 million is claimed as Hector Cuper's asking price in a report today.

The 22-year-old is very impressed by the Town support since his move here last summer: "The fans have been superb towards me ever since I have been here and I can feel that when I'm playing. It helps me, it is very important to have that feeling each time I get the ball they are behind me."

He is glad to see the clubs in discussion as he is keen to make his Portman Road move permanent: "I have always said I love being with Ipswich and very much want to stay. I enjoy the club, the town, the whole area and, of course, playing in the Premier League."

It is understood that Town are keen to buy Peralta even if they are relegated from the Premiership.

George Burley has said he substituted Peralta at Newastle on Saturday as he was feeling tired after missing several weeks training.
