Gerken Over Shoulder Injury
Monday, 22nd Feb 2016 18:47

Town boss Mick McCarthy has confirmed that keeper Dean Gerken is over his shoulder injury and is available for Tuesday’s home match against Hull City.

“He has made great progress and is available for tomorrow’s game,” McCarthy told the club site.

Gerken has been sidelined for the last three games after sustaining the knock in the closing minutes at Birmingham when he collided with home sub James Vaughan.

It would be a huge surprise if the 30-year-old were to return to the starting line-up, however, with Bartosz Bialkowski having been in outstanding form in the ex-Colchester and Bristol City man’s absence.

If MM selects Gerken tomorrow it would be a huge mistake. Bart is the better keeper.

Bart will play tomorrow (if fit, obviously). Mick isn't that unpredictable.

Wouldn't put anything past Mr Stubborn !!! Doesn't matter anyway. What's in front of him is nowhere near good enough and we will do very well to finish top half. Our overachieving has come to an end and the play offs are only a pipe dream. We are miles off the level required. Great effort by all but lack of quality and lack of back up (most of our starting 11 should be back ups) will cost us dear.

Steve ITFC Sweden. Of course he'll play Bart. His policy is quite clear and the goalies know it and approve it. It's only the likes of jas0999 who, let's face it, is keen only on collecting up marks, write such rubbish.
