Dozzell and Morris in England U17 Squad Thursday, 3rd Mar 2016 12:24 Academy duo Andre Dozzell and Ben Morris have been named in the England U17 squad for their Euro 2016 elite qualifying mini-tournament later this month. England are the hosts and take on Turkey at Chesterfield’s Proact Stadium on Thursday 24th March, then Finland at Leek Town’s Harrison Park two days later, before their final game against Ukraine at Burton Albion’s Pirelli Stadium on Tuesday 29th March. The teams which finish top of their groups and the best second-placed sides will go through to the finals in Azerbaijan in May. The England youngsters topped their group in the first qualifying round in Portugal in October last year and last month drew with Germany and the Portuguese and lost 2-0 to Holland at the Torneio Internacional do Algarve where Dozzell, the son of former Blue and current academy coach Jason, skippered the side. Midfielder Dozzell, who travelled with the Town first team squad to Huddersfield last week and has been handed squad number 41, has won nine England U17 caps while striker Morris, who has scored 17 goals this season, has won three.
Blues keeper Nick Hayes, who has three caps at U17 level, is on standby.
