Yorwerth and Crowe in Wales U21 Squad

Town duo Josh Yorwerth and Michael Crowe have been named in the Wales U21 squad for their European Championship qualifiers against Bulgaria and Romania next month.

The Welsh youngsters, who are coached by former Blues midfielder Geraint Williams, face the Bulgarians in Stara Zagora on Friday 25th March, then the Romanians in Medias four days later.

Wales currently head their group with 11 points from their first five games, a point ahead of Denmark. The finals are in Poland in the summer of 2017.

Central defender Yorwerth, 21, who is on loan at Crawley until the end of the season, has previously won five U21 caps, while keeper Crowe, 20, who is on the bench for the Blues today having returned from his loan at Braintree, is yet to make his U21s debut.

The more international players we have the better I feel,because going away with other good players can only be beneficial.

I would like to see Mick give some of these players a little bit of game time,and the ones who are not out on loan at present should at least be put on the bench,because no players from the youth,into first team in 3 1/2 years is an abysmal record.Have not included Bishop as he was only briefly a first team player;due to constant injuries.
