Skipper Matt Holland says he will not be looking for a move from Portman Road in the summer whatever division the Blues find themselves in. Holland is one of a number of players recently linked with close season moves as Town's relegation plight has looked more serious.

The Town captain said: "I have four years left on my contract with Ipswich Town and unless the club say otherwise then I will honour that.

"I want to stay in the Premiership with Ipswich Town and although we have made it difficult for ourselves we still have a chance of staying up. It will not be easy but it is not impossible."

Holland feels that being a First Division player will not damage his international career with Ireland as he was playing in that league when he made his debut for his adopted country.

The midfielder was mentioned in connection with Manchester City over the weekend and over the years he has been linked with a number of other Premiership clubs including Fulham and Everton.

Other players linked with moves lately include Titus Bramble (a summer move to Newcastle looks on the cards whatever happens during the rest of the season), Fabian Wilnis (Manchester City and Southampton claimed to be interested), Matteo Sereni (back to Italy or Chelsea), Mark Venus (Colchester interested if he is out of contract in the summer), Marcus Stewart (Sunderland) and Marcus Bent (Leeds).

With a £12 million difference in budget if Town were relegated sales to reduce the wage-bill are inevitable, something David Sheepshanks and George Burley have both admitted.
