A seven-strong sequence of 1940s and 1950s Ipswich Town Supporters Association Handbooks will go under the hammer at Martlesham auctioneers Lockdales on September 17th.

The sequence starts with season 1946/47 and ends at the 1952/53 campaign.

Auction manager James Sadler, a Portman Road season ticket holder, said: “These handbooks are getting more and more popular and it’s not often we get a consecutive run like this one. There has already been considerable interest in them.”

The seven handbooks along with a number of other Town-related items are up for sale as one lot with a £30 to £35 catalogue guide price.
