Wright Out for Season?
Saturday, 13th Apr 2002 12:27

Town midfielder Jermaine Wright could be out for the season due to his abdominal injury. The former Crewe man will see a specialist this week to determine whether he will be able to take part in Town's final four games.

Wright will have a hernia operation in the summer, but if the injury settles down then he may be available to George Burley for the run-in.

Currently he is not training, although he is doing some work in the gym.

As for Town's other injuries, Mark Venus is still in with a chance of making next week's game at Arsenal. The veteran defender, offered a new one-year deal by the Blues, has a knee problem.

Pablo Couñago will return to training this week after his twisted ankle while Fabian Wilnis looks likely to be back in training this week. The full-back has a groin problem.

Chris Makin is unlikely to be fit for the trip to Highbury as his ankle is still inflamed and swollen. The ex-Sunderland player had a scan towards the end of last week.

Wayne Brown is back in light training after his hamstring problem and should return to full training this week.

Matteo Sereni's torn thigh muscle is improving, although he has a lump in it.

Keith Branagan had an operation on his shoulder towards the end of the week and won't be fit until pre-season.
