Crowe Makes Wales U21s Debut
Tuesday, 11th Oct 2016 18:01

Town keeper Michael Crowe made his debut for the Wales U21s as they beat Armenia 3-1 in their final Euro 2017 qualifier in Yerevan this afternoon.

Bristol Rovers’ Ellis Harrison put the Welsh in front on 19, Aram Shakhnazaryan’s own goal doubled their lead on 67, two minutes before Artem Simonyan pulled a goal back for the home team, but Cardiff’s Tom O’Sullivan made it 3-1 in the final minute.

The victory means the side coached by former Blue Geraint Williams finish fourth in their group but don’t reach next summer’s finals.

London-born, Norway-raised Crowe (pictured above left with Joe Robinson), 20, who qualifies for Wales via his grandmother, played the full 90 minutes.

Saw Crowe in the u-23s v Liverpool and he made a handful of top class saves to keep the score down.

Well done Michael!

You might also be interested to know that Monty Patterson scored for New Zealand in its 1-1 away draw with the USA. Monty played well throughout and very nearly scored a winner. A great prospect who we can be very proud of.......

Pleased for him. Will be very difficult for him as Bart is outstanding but the future looks in safe hands
