Town Linked With Failed Power Bid
Thursday, 5th Jan 2017 09:32

Town are reported to be one of a number of clubs to have had an offer for Wigan midfielder Max Power turned down by the Championship strugglers.

According to the Daily Mail the Blues, Brentford and Birmingham have all made unsuccessful approaches for the 23-year-old.

Birkenhead-born Power came through the youth system at Tranmere where he made more than 100 senior appearances before joining the Latics in the summer of 2015.

Wonder if its going to be like this for the rest of the month.Hope not.

Don't think players will be so keen to come here this year in view of League position, and doubt if any will be coming here because the Manager is Mick McCarthy,as they have in the past.

Still only just coming up to a week gone in the window;so another 26 days to go.Am still hopeful;but recently the spark, which I have had for 50 years ,seems to have gone as far as Ipswich are concerned, thanks to McCarthy.

Would have been a great addition for the comedy value alone.

No real surprise. We wouldn't gave offered market value, let alone the selling clubs value.

Current value is too high - McCarthy blew a fuse...

Let's not get charged up, the lack of transfer news is just so amplified by no signings. We need to get a charge on to get a load of players. Surely we need to get a bit of fizz on to keep the powers that be to stop the negativity

Please sign him just for the comedy of his name! More likely to sign the vertically challenged dart player Phil the power Taylor though!

Ipswich and power just do not go currently, hence why he declined...

Nothing is going to happen this transfer, we are going to bob along at 18th and MM won't be here after 10th May..
