Town have announced a ticket promotion at the Newcastle match on Monday 17th April, which has been designated Sir Bobby Robson Day in honour of the clubs’ legendary former manager.

Season ticket holders will be able to purchase up to four additional tickets at £10 for adults, £8 for concessions and £3 for under-16s from Friday.

The Ipswich Town of today is unrecognisable from the Ipswich Town of Sir Bobby Robson.

Evans has destroyed the heart and soul of the club!

This current regime make me sick

How dare they use the name of Sir Bobby for a cheap publicity stunt

I really hope this protest that is being organised is attended by 1000`s
Love to be there, but there in spirit

For all those saying this is a cheap publicity stunt, if you can see through the raging mist, then click on the link in the article and it takes you back to an article in October 2016 when this day was announced. Most of that thread is then made up of people saying what a nice idea it is.

I'm really not happy with what's going on at the club, but it seems to me to be double standards that everyone wants Huddersfield style prices and then when a ticket offer that replicates that kind of pricing (if only for a game) is announced, people complain. I've had a season ticket for years and I don't give two hoots if the club do an offer to get people in. It's empty where I sit. Personally I like a full stadium. I've a feeling many on here like an empty one so they can moan about it.

As supporters we need to get behind whoever runs on that pitch and make sure we stay in this division. Maybe a few more backsides on seats will help that? By the way, after reading this board I hear that the club have scrapped the proposed 'Free Pie and a Pint' deal they were offering vs Birmingham. Apparently it's going to offend too many vegans and fans that don't drink.

I'll have a day at home with the family. Even at a tenner I really cannot be bothered.

Let's just for one day put all our justifiable anger and despondency surrounding the ITFC regime to one side and celebrate with the Newcastle fans the legend that is Sir Bobby Robson. We know that the game itself will be the usual bore fest of hoofball (at least from one team), but I think that all we long suffering supporters should come out and have an enjoyable day in memory of the great man.
We have no axe to grind with NUFC fans so let's enjoy the occasion with them. Why don't the club allow their ticket holders access to the fan zone for this occasion? I am sure it would be a well appreciated gesture in a fixture which may never be repeated for many years.
During the game we can recall the great names of the past by singing the old songs - He's here, he's there, he's every..........where, Johnny Wark - Super Cooper etc and Bobbys My Way. We can send another message to the current regime about our feelings for ITFC by showing them what the good days were like, although I suppose they are too far up their own backsides to notice what is going on.
Enjoy the occasion, if not the game and show all present what we true Town fans are all about

Orraman - or we could sing a new fan anthem for the rest of the season:
Get out of our club
Get out of our club
Marcus Evans
Get out of our club

I've been offered a £10 seat by a season ticket holder but much as I want to support Sir Bobby I can't face watching the dross on the pitch which will be an insult to his memory. That season ticket holder has said today that he won't be renewing following the announcements regarding concessions for over 60's. He's been going for 54 years and this weeks announcements have angered him enough to quit. This is such a sad sad situation for our club and the effect it's having on our town and indeed our county.

Sir Bobby would NEVER have worked for Evans. If Evans could sell Portman Rd he would.

As a 60 year old I'm well peeved at the removal of the senior discount. However, I do see why they want to do away with. But the downside is it pisses everybody in that age group off, not surprisingly.

I hope the club reconsiders.

There are many things to get pissed off at portman road, but i cant think for a second why season ticket holders should be annoyed at this? its like doing your shopping in tesco's and paying full price then going back the next day and seeing the items you bought at full price being sold off cheap, it happens! The only thing wrong with these type of promotions is stayaway fans come back for a game, and get reminded of why they stopped going!

WE NEED A MUCK OUT!!!!

This match on Easter Monday the top team in the league should attract a good crowd so why make it cheaper for people to attend when as a season ticket holder I have paid full price?

The £6 average increase in season ticket prices will produce £60000 if 10000 renew and if 3000 people who would be attending in any event including Newcastle fans then the club will lose £60000 in income on this one game. Makes no sense at all but is typical of the club at present.

I have no objection to these ticket offers on games against lesser teams but Easter Monday against the top team??

As a ST holder I don't object in principle to one off promotions. What I object to is once they have got my money I get squat for forking out full price up front before a ball is kicked. Even the beer and coffee is rubbish and over priced.

I wish I could have experienced Bobby robson days. To me, being one of the best teams in England seems unheard of!! ONLY ONE BOBBY ROBSON!!!!!!!!!!!!!! It's a shame because MM is a nice person but needs to get out of our club.
