Injury Worries For Town
Injury Worries For Town

Town have several injury worries before tomorrow's vital home clash with Port Vale.

Definitely out is John McGreal, while George Burley has to wait on Jim Magilton (groin) and Fabian Wilnis (hamstring), although Mick Stockwell should have recovered from his ankle injury sustained on Tuesday. Town look likely to play 4-4-2 with Stockwell at right-back if Wilnis doesn't make it and Mowbray and Venus at the centre of defence.

Marcus Stewart may find himself handed a start if Magilton misses out with James Scowcroft moving into midfield. Loanee Martijn Reuser looks likely to be on the bench once more.

In the squad for the first time this season is Titus Bramble who has still only played a few games since returning from injury. Titus is unlikely to be either in the side that starts or on the bench. Manuel Thetis injured his ankle in the reserves match on Wednesday.

Full squad: Wright, Branagan, Croft, Wilnis, Clapham, Stockwell, Mowbray, Venus, Bramble, Brown, Holland, Magilton, Wright, Scowcroft, Johnson, Stewart, Reuser, Naylor and Axeldal.

The reserves lost 2-1 to Peterborough on Wednesday afternoon in a game moved from London Road to Suffolk. Town dominated but had only one goal to their name, through Jonas Axeldal.

Town had plenty of chances including a last minute penalty miss from Stuart Niven, but Posh keeper Jon Vaughan played a bit of a blinder. Adam Tanner played for Town's opponents.

Town team: Branagan, Kennedy, Artun, J Miller, Thetis (Moffat), Maurel (Nicholls), Koogi, Axeldal, R Logan, Niven. Unused subs A Miller, Pullen and Asiamah.
