Skuse Hoping to Be Fit to Face Former Club
Wednesday, 14th Mar 2018 18:40

Midfielder Cole Skuse is hopeful of being fit enough to face his old club Bristol City at Ashton Gate on Saturday having missed Tuesday’s 3-0 home defeat to Hull due to a hamstring problem.

“I’ll be outside doing some work tomorrow and then hopefully I’ll be back in training on Friday,” Skuse told the club website.

“My hamstring has tightened up a bit, but if all goes well I’ll be okay for Saturday. I want to be out there helping the team.”

Skuse, 31, joined the Blues after leaving the Robins, his hometown club where he came through the youth system, in the summer of 2013.

When he was at Bristol City his Manager said ''you only notice Cole Skues when he's not in the Team.
I agree, we are a better Team when he is in the side. We just need some creativity alongside him and not the two or sometimes three defensive midfielders McCarthy prefers. Without creativity in midfield we will not create chances and therefore score goals. Trouble is our Manager, who hates any criticism of his tactics, cannot see it!!

Gcon of the first twelve games Skuse missed we won 6, lost 4 and drew 2. I suggest you check out the remaining games, you might find out that your statement is less than true .

@Gcon I'm sure I can pull apart that theory like I did the one about Skuse being absent and we lost a few games a couple of months back (Just when we happened to be playing Wolves x2 and Derby).
