Friday, 25th May 2018 14:47

Tickets are still available for the Portman Road screening of the new feature-length documentary Bobby Robson: More Than a Manager on Friday evening where Blues legends Terry Butcher, Mick Mills and John Wark will take part in a question and answer session.

Portman Road is one of three venues hosting outdoor showings of the film a week ahead of its release with similar events at Newcastle United’s St James’ Park today and Wembley on Wednesday.

In addition to Butcher, Mills and Wark, Sir Bobby’s widow, Lady Elsie Robson, and son, Mark Robson, will also be at Portman Road.

Featuring the likes of Butcher, Jose Mourinho, Pep Guardiola, Ronaldo, Paul Gascoigne, Alan Shearer, Gary Lineker and Sir Alex Ferguson, as well as never before seen archive and emotional testimony from Lady Elsie, Bobby Robson: More Than a Manager is billed as the definitive portrait of one of sport's most inspirational and influential figures.

The Portman Road screening is limited to 1,400 with standard tickets £20, including a £5 donation to the Sir Bobby Robson Foundation. They are available, along with further information, from the Bobby Robson: More Than a Manager website here.

A VIP hospitality package is also available, which includes a pre-screening drink and dinner in the Sir Bobby Robson Suite alongside former Town players, costing £65, including a donation to the Sir Bobby Robson Foundation. To book email sales@itfc.co.uk or click here.

Bobby Robson: More Than a Manager is released as a digital download on 1st June and on DVD/Blu-Ray - which are available for pre-order here - on 4th June.

Really disappointing this isn't a sellout, thought we might have had such demand the club would need to put it on a jumbo screen (or persuaded ME to buy one for the stadium) and had thousands watching on the pitch. Maybe too long ago for many fans.

Sadly I can't be there as I will be at The Wolsey on Friday Night for 'Our Blue Heaven'. Whoever scheduled this was not aware of what is happening only a few minutes walk away! Both of us and, I would imagine many others at the Wolsey, would have been there!
