Sixto Loan Extended? Tuesday, 25th Jun 2002 08:41 Town chairman David Sheepshanks is involved in discussions with Inter Milan aimed at extending Sixto Peralta's Portman Road loan for another season. The Argentinian was a huge success when he joined Town last season, making 30 appearances and scoring five goals. The 23-year-old has been valued at £3 million by the Italian giants, a fee that looks out of Town's reach unless significant fees come in for a number of players. However, the Town chairman has been in discussions with Inter's Massimo Moratti with the aim of keeping him without having to fork out a fee: "We are very keen on keeping Sixto Peralta and there is a possibility of us being able to extend his loan period for a further year." The likelihood is that Town would seek to make the deal permanent if and when they return to the Premiership.
