Dyer Backs Bramble Tuesday, 25th Jun 2002 12:27 Former Town midfielder Kieron Dyer has backed Titus Bramble to make the full England side if he joins him at Newcastle United. The Magpies are reported to have had a bid of over £4 million turned down by Town. Dyer, who joined Newcastle from Town in the summer of 1999, says: "I'd put money on Titus soon getting full England status on Tyneside. I really would. He can develop into a world class central defender." "Ipswich have sadly been relegated and I think that Titus can develop in the Premiership with us. I know he had a disappointing time last season, possibly he got a bit stale. It can happen with young players, take Rio Ferdinand for example. "He had a dodgy season or more at West Ham when he was making mistakes, but look at him now. Leeds have got one of the best defenders in the world."
