Town chairman David Sheepshanks says he never likes having to sell players but feels that in the circumstances the Blues have got a good deal in accepting Newcastle's offer for Titus Bramble.

Bramble is still in the North-East discussing personal terms with the move expected to be completed on Monday or Tuesday.

Sheepshanks said: "I'm as happy as I can be in the circumstances. I don't like being a seller other than when it is strategic.

"In this situation we are forced to sell. We have got to have a balancing act between having a good squad and getting the finances right."

With this in mind the chairman says that although the club is keen to sign Sixto Peralta on loan this is on the back burner until it is known how much money will be brought in through transfers.
