Town have admitted that the current building work at Portman Road will not be finished in time for the new season. Work on the new North and related developments are now not expected to be completed until October.

All 30,000+ seats will be in place for the first league game of the season in August while the new two-floor club shop willl not be complete until September.

This will be housed in the end block between the North and Cobbold Stands, with a supporters' bar housed above it.

The current club shop on Portman Road is to become an away supporters' bar and lounge.

The photographers' pits on the west side of the ground, scene of many a comedy tumble over the years, are to be filled in, with new sites for photographers in the North Stand.
