Town are introducing electronic season tickets for the 2002/03 season. The credit card-style tickets will ultimately be swiped through unmanned turnstiles by fans entering the ground, although not during the season ahead.

Town announced two weeks ago that they are expecting to match the 18,000 season ticket holders from last season.

Unofficial reports have recently suggested that there could be as many as 22,000 season ticket holders and that the ticket office has imposed a cap of 25,000 on numbers should demand go through the roof.

All supporters who applied for tickets prior to last Friday's price-freeze deadline should now have received an acknowledgement from the club.

The electronic tickets, already in use by a number of other clubs, will be sent out separately to each individual, even those purchased by families all at the same time.
