Wright Place at the Right Time Thursday, 4th May 2000 14:12 Kevin Keegan has named Richard Wright in his trio of keepers to go to Euro 2000, a major boost to the Town net-minder ahead of Sunday's crucial game with Walsall. Keegan said that Wright was a gamble, but that he would stick with David Seaman, Nigel Martyn and Wright unless one of the senior keepers was injured. The England manager added: "The only way that will change is if one of the two key keepers got injured and then I might have to draft in a more experienced keeper for cover, a keeper that would probably move ahead of Wright. "Wright is a gamble, the problem is we haven't been able to give him games. But whomever we decided to take was going to be short on experience." If Wright gets a game at Euro 2000 or in any of the games beforehand he will become Town's first England full international since Terry Butcher.
